My name is Simone Cage-Griffin, and I first want to say that all I am, is because of God and His great mercy and blessings. I was born in Sacramento, Ca, and raised in Rohnert Park, Ca, a small town 47 miles North of San Francisco. 

I started my entrepreneurial journey at the age of 21 when I opened Sonoma County’s first black-owned beauty supply store named "Know Yo Roots."   Following that, I obtained serval certificates, such as a Real Estate License, Childcare License, and MLO, with the goal of remaining my own boss.

My journey as the Butter Lady offering Nothin But Bud Butter products started during the pandemic, after closing my childcare, my nephew encouraged me to learn how to make infused butter to make the family’s favorite dessert called “the ugly muffin.” Discovering that I had developed a great product, I took it out and tested my cookies, olive oil, and butter at local adult venues, and it was a hit!

I enjoy the simple things in life, praising the lord, enjoying nature (the ocean, bird watching, gardening, walking), cooking, live music, singing (to myself), baking, and hanging out with my family and friends.
